Work & Tinkering

Claude Code has worked its way into my daily development flow — past the initial excitement, I've got a clearer picture of where it earns its keep and where it falls short. Most recently I used it to help modernize 21 anime music videos I made in high school and get them back on YouTube.

Learning

Working through gen ed credits at Sophia.org. Finished English Comp 2, but College Algebra hit harder than expected and I've been avoiding it again — exactly what I was hoping to change this time. College plans back in question. Progress at Credly.

Reading

Working my way through all 62 of the original Goosebumps books. Currently on Book 4: Say Cheese and Die!

Writing

Picked back up a book I've had on the back burner for years — a history of pro wrestling in Tampa around 1906. I'd finished the research, a full first draft, and even an editorial assessment, then just sat on it. Found some new sources recently and have been restructuring it. Still a long way to go; not sure it'll ever see the light of day.

Watching

Still processing the end of Super Sentai after its 50+ year run. Gavan: Infinity debuted and I fell off after a few weeks — in the meantime, catching up on old Heisei era Toku on Twitch.

Health

About 8 weeks out from full mouth LANAP surgery for periodontal disease — real results, but healing slower than expected. Can't wait to eat a steak again. An unexpected upside: the forced soft diet got my blood sugar under control in a way it never had been. Stumbled onto meal sequencing and carb chaperoning, and I'm on track for the best A1C I've had since being diagnosed six years ago.

Life

Bought my first house late last year. Still getting everything set up, but it's going well.
